Exhibition City Council of Kranj announces – the collection of documents
4 January 2013 | UrednikFirst temporary exhibition in the renovated castle Khislstein titled City council announces – the collection of documents.
The collection of documents contains 67 late medieval and modern documents. The oldest was written in 1309, the earliest one in 1839.
Exhibition of Leopold Layer’s work
3 January 2013 | UrednikLeopold Layer (1752 – 1828) considered the most important and most popular painter of the late 18th and beginning of the 19th century. After the death of his father Leopold Layer took over the family painting workshop in Kranj His younger brothers Valentin and Anton also helped him in the workshop.
Among Slovenes is Layer probably best known because of the altar painting Mary helps in Brezje church.
Welcomed to the castle Khislstein
2 January 2013 | UrednikExhibitions are displayed every day except Monday, from 10am and 6pm. Admission for adults is 2.50 eur, for children/students/seniors is 1.70 eur.
You are invited on guided tours through the permanent exhibition, every first Saturday of the month and on the children’s creative workshops every first and third Saturday of the month. Every third Saturday of the month we have a public guided tour through the temporary exhibition in the castle Khislstein.
